If God exist, what would be the description or idea of God?

He is Truth...He is the Beginning and the End

  1. I echo St Augustine when he said "credo ut intelligam".

    Because God exists, the question would be, if God did NOT exist, what would be the description or idea of the world?

  2. so, the issue we are facing here is whether God does or does not exist. I believe the argument about the existence of God is really not necessary as we can see God is worshipped by people from all types of religious background since history. Even some scientists, who were atheists, believed there is a SOURCE out there in the universe to hold the universe together. The issue will be what God are they worshipping/following after?

  3. He is the source of all things, Without Him nothing exits. There will be no meaning and no purpose -- nothing, nothing, nothing

  4. Cat, He sure is!! and many AMENS!! The Bible itself has firmly established "in the beginning, God.." in Genesis 1 on the intro... Look at all the creation around us...the sun, the moon, the stars, the birds, the trees, the separation of sea from land, sky from earth...what could have possibly taken place if not for God who did all these, created nothing to so many things!!
    coming back to the main qn "what kind of description/idea of God".. my idea of God is He is a GREAT & BEST ARCHITECT, ARTIST, DESIGNER, PAINTER, ORGANIZER, PLANNER....

  7. A Bible class teacher was examining her pupils after a series of lessons on God's omnipotence. She asked, "Is there anything God cannot do?"
    There was silence. Finally, one lad held up his hand. The teacher, disappointed that the lesson's point had been missed, asked resignedly, "Well, just what is it that God cannot do?"
    "Well," replied the boy, "He can't please everybody."

  8. Where God Ain't
    He was just a little lad,
    And on the week's first day,
    Was wandering home from Sunday School,
    And dawdling along the way.
    He scuffed his shoes into the grass;
    He found a caterpillar;
    He found a fluffy milkweed pod,
    And flew out all the filler.
    A bird's nest in a tree o'head
    So wisely placed and high,
    Was just another wonder
    That caught his eager eye.
    A neighbor watched his zigzag course,
    And hailed him from the lawn;
    Asked him where he'd been that day,
    And what was going on.
    "Oh, I've been to Sunday School.
    (He carefully turned a sod
    And found a snail beneath it);
    I've learned a lot about God."
    "M'm'm, a very fine way," the neighbor said,
    "For a boy to spend his time;
    If you'll tell me where God is,
    I'll give you a brand new dime."
    Quick as a flash his answer came!
    Nor were his accents faint-
    "I'll give you a dollar, Mister,
    If you tell me where God ain't."
